JULY,2001 packed up the bike and headed north to cooler weather.

Although this part on Maine is refered to as DOWNEAST. It seem most of Mount Desert Island is up HILL. EEK!!!!.YIKES!!!!! ,and a bunch of other EXPLETIVES.
For the ride around the island I started from where I was staying at Hulls Cove, and took Rt. 3 east to Rt 198 to Northeast Harbor. At Northeast Harbor took Sargeants Drive west back to 198 and up to Rt. 102. At 102 turn left to Southwest harbor.Take 102a around till it meets 102 again ,go left to Tremont and back to 198 to Town Hill, and connect with 3 to finish.
